Wintersong

snow with birdfeeder
A cheer for the snow--the drifting snow;

snow with faun 2
Smoother and purer than Beauty's brow;

snow with pond and dogwood
The creature of thought scarce likes to tread
On the delicate carpet so richly spread.

Snow sun and shadows
With feathery wreaths the forest is bound,
And the hills are with glittering diadems crown'd:
'Tis the fairest scene we can have below.
Sing, welcome, then, to the drifting snow!

Gorgeous photos and a marvelous poem - but can I say that I'm glad the snow finally melted in the Netherlands?! I've seen enough of it in real life - I go for the photos thank you!
