IF: Diary of an Aspiring Artist

Installation

Saturday night I will be at The Decatur Market & Gallery from 5-10:00 p.m. for the opening reception, "Red Hot Landscapes and Cool Waters." The reception will honor artists Greta Mattingly and Jill Bates. The Gallery will also host an outdoor artist market, provide complimentary hors d'oeuvres, summer beverages and music. Come by and check out my new artistic venture, if you're in the area. My special thanks to Patrick Dennis for inviting me to be a part of this amazing group of artists and to Knox Steinbrecher for helping to install my work so beautifully.

Your art looks so beautiful hanging on the wall of the gallery. I wish you much success tomorrow night. I'd be there if it wasn't so dang far from California! But I'll be with you in thought.

It looks and sounds wonderful, too bad I'm not in the area! I really like how your art is so full of heart - the magazine collages were gorgeous! I look forward to seeing updates from the gallery opening! :)

I don't think your aspiring anymore, I think you're THERE, YOU'RE IT! Wow, what gorgeous work to see!

I've been hiding from familiar territory for awhile now - just trying to find me again after my dear dad passed away. I really took it hard. Anyway, I was so amazed with you before, to come in tonight and see how your work has grown - incredible! It's so full of glowing color and life and vibrancy but deeper somehow. Just incredible!

Congratulations on your success! Can't wait to read how things go at the opening and wishing you continued blossoming!
