This journal page is an entry for two challenges: Theme Thursday's Halloween and This Thursday's All About Black. All the images, except the long-necked bird and black cat, are from vintage books or magazines. Halloween always makes me think of my mother, which is especially appropriate today, on the eve of her birthday. Every year, about a week before Halloween, my mother would start a spooky story, which she would only tell in nightly installments, usually by the light of a candle. She was (and is) most definitely a good witch!
