Are You a Good Witch Or A Bad Witch?

This is my entry for the Theme Thursday Challenge "Flowers." It's part of the new project I'm working on which I'll tell you about another day, if it works out. This collage is on a watercolor background and is made up of images from Vogue and travel brochures. I used some 3-dimensional flowers and various scrapbook and hand-drawn papers. I'm not entirely pleased with it. Maybe it's just not quite finished. I was happy with the card until I saw it on the blog, but now I think I need something between the Toucan-Head and Flower-Hat Witches. Maybe another familiar? Or some doodles with oil pastels or gel pens? Please let me know what you think about either, if you have time. I think I've lost my perspective on this one!

P.S. With your kind help, I think I've finished this collage now. I tried, with no success, to find a frog or a toad that would fit. But, at Sharon's suggestion, I "auditioned" arms for the piece and added them (how did I make this obvious ommission???!!!). Three different models were sacrificed to complete the Black and White Witch, but only one had to sacrifice her appendages for Miss Toucan-Head. Then, as my faithful friend and new next-door neighbor, Jean, suggested, I added some doodles and dots, and she was right. It helped a lot. Here is my first on-line collaborative piece:

Hi Al - It seems that it's just missing some of your personality like your other works have...like dots & doodles and more hand written words....

that always happens to me, I load it onto the blog and then I see things I didn't see before...wonderful colors and that background is a wonderful choice for the black * white...and that green dress!!! oy! what a great color!

I think it is wonderful with color and whimsy and fun. Oh I don't know but maybe just cut out some hands and audition them in that space. Could be fun.

I think this is a fun piece. How about a funky shaped question mark done in dots?

What a fun art piece! I think maybe some repeat of the flourish in the middle one's dress used between the goose and the middle one??? Or just leave it as it is. I think it's great.

I love all your suggestions!!!! This will be a collaborative piece. Thank you so much for your ideas. I will try each one and see what grabs me. I started looking for a toad early this morning, and I also thought of a funky question mark. I love Sharon's idea of hands. The model's arms were hidden by her original dress, so I never even thought of the most obvious choice! I left out the journaling because I want this one to be a card, but it does look empty without the narrative. Now, let me grab some magazines and my trusty scissors.....

Great and fun piece. I always get a different perspective once I scan a piece and see it on the computer screen. It's a good way of stepping back from our work I think. Such great colors and design on this!

Well, I love it. You know me, I've just got a thing for hands. I cut them out of the slick newspaper ads to use in my collage. Maybe because we talk with out hands. They say so much.
A fun collaborative.
