This is another double entry for this week's Arty Girlz Challenge "Eras" and the Crazy Amigos Challenge "Sun." It was originally a companion page for my July Fourth journal page. Since I came of age in the 60's and 70's, I was profoundly affected by the politics, art, music, and social awareness of that era. Although some of these are hand-drawn, most came from a Time magazine cover, and the background is watercolor.

We might be close in age, you and I....the music of that time also meant a great deal to me. I have started collecting peace jewelry....
I love your art work here, I can really relate, man....I wish I could read what you wrote in the background...

nice to see this card and hear the music from this theme.
Stunning!
Dawning of the age of Aquarius - and I am both!!!
I really like your style - completely quirky and loads of fun!! I do hope the collage muse decides to stick around for a while!
aaaaaaggghhhh I LOVE IT!@!!!!! You have the song now...too much.....can you move next door to me....pleeeeeeeeaaase?????
That's like an inside joke my husband and I've always had about who you'd like to live next door to. I've always said Neil Young, and now I think: "Jean!" There's 5 acres on either side of us...
Oh YES! and I am an Aquarian who came of age in the age of Aquarius, too! Quite a time to grow up, especially in Arizona and California! Your journal page is fabulous!!!
Yeah the swinging 60s - great card.

Yay I love that the song is playing now :)
Wow, such a wonderful interpretation, love your sun and the used colours.
What a turbulent time that you've evoked with all of these personalities....and your fantastic design. Brilliant piece!
like this piece and the way there is all writing in between the rays of sun. We probably had Beatles mania in Liverpool at that time but I was only 6yrs old then!!
Ah yes, that definitely reminds me of a poster I would have seen back then. You've really captured the essence of the era!
XOXO
Great era card, girls! "I am not a crook".
