Where I Live

Stephanie over at the Mango Studio inspired me to write my own poem about where I live

Roses in the Long Border

I live where rabbits hide in hedgerows green

and hummingbirds sip sweet nectar

where roses meet me at the door

and stop to say hello

where fairy rings grow

and evening shadows deepen

Rhododendrons and Mahonia

when the magic hour approaches

I want to come to where you live!! Oh those roses!! Congratulations on your painting being chosen for--oh can't remember which challenge it was--. Your poem is very sweet and I don't usually like music on blogs, but I do love this song!! Happy day!
