Bring Me a Dream WIP

30" X 30" acrylic mixed media on wood for Theme Thursday and Creative Therapy

Okay, Kenson, I think you can officially say that I am as loose as a goose. This is a painting I started last night at about seven o'clock. I put Counting Crows, Steely Dan, and Joni Mitchell on my cd player, and I painted like a madman for three hours. I brushed; I sanded; I sponged; I baby-wiped. All to get these different effects and all without hesititating. It was very intuitive; nothing was controlled, except the basic composition. I used this 12" X 12" painting that I did two years ago, as a guide, because I always loved this little fellow and the colors.

Bring Me a Dream

My point is that I can't seem to stop painting. I have three large pieces going, and it's taking every bit of willpower I have to go to school every day and not stay home and start another one!

It's amazing how addictive crafting can be. I'm still a newbie who tries to mess around with stamps, but I'm experiencing the same thing. It's really hard to stop playing and get to bed, to be able to get to work.
I love the bright blue!

You have happiness in your heart Kathy, I can hear it, and it wants to be shared. Your students are lucky to have your enthusiasm.
