Dream With The Fishes

mixed media on 8" X 10" canvas, $60 plus shipping
If you're interested in this painting, please contact me at katherinemccullen@yahoo.com

I started this piece last week for Mixed Media Monday's Mermaid challenge, but I was unable to finish it in time. The background is many, many layers of paint and ink: sponged, stampled, and splattered. You name it and I think I did it to this little picture. Fortunately, TGIF is having a Fish challenge this week, and MMM is doing Beaches, so I'm going to submit this painting for both. BTW my friend Serena's blog title, which has always made me smile, was the inspiration for this painting. Be sure to check out her amazing altered art here.

How beautiful! I love the company your mermaid keeps! I wonder if those fishies are friends or maybe take-out for her next meal. Perish the thought.

Hey Lady !
Gorgeous mermaid !
Nice job checking stuff off the list. I kind of hate sometimes that the list never stops getting things added to it ! My hubby is a big list maker. He was on vacation last week and I asked him to see if he could go the week without making a list of things we had to do. Guess what ? He couldn't go more than a day ! Let's hurry up and relax !
We work it out though, Mrs. "I like to Go With the Flow, Random Girl" and Mr."Let's Make a List So we Can get it All In, Predictable Boy". A balancing act of have-to's and want-to's and we are both happy ! That and I told him to keep his lists to himself !;-)

Back to the weekly grind list ! Have a good one, Girlfriend !

Love her fishes. But most of all I love your checked-off list. I only make list when I know I'm gonna do it or at least try. Or as you know I sometimes make list of things I'm not going to do. It works too.

Oh she is beautiful...
Don't you just hate that green pollen from the oak leaves. I have to wait until the Photina pollen falls then I'll clean my porch too.
Glad you were able to check so much off your list. You're such a busy bee.

Gorgeous! I love (and collect) mermaids! Sorry I haven't responded on Etsy. We've all been sick here with bad chest colds, one right after the other. I kept meaning to, but kept forgetting. Yes, I received the lovely red piece and it's going on my art wall just as soon as I feel better. You are so talented -- thanks for sharing!
