Postcards on Etsy

Escape

Sunday Postcard Art

I don't know about other artists, but I have a need to work in different styles and media. Other artists seem to specialize in one genre, but I find myself some days with an urge to make something funky and fun, and other days a desire to learn something and work intuitively. Other days I just need to paint something magical and pretty to escape into. Maybe it's because it's spring and cherry blossom petals are blowing across my garden, or maybe it's because Ava and I are going to visit our mother for a few days, but today my inner child needed to escape for a romp with a beautiful fairy tale bird. The little painting is called: Printemps Prend la Fuite, Spring Takes Flight, and, if you like it, the postcards are available on Etsy.

This is fantastic! Wonderful interpretation of the theme! And I agree with you about wanting to try different styles, but I'm a novice and not a good artist, so my postcard style is very limited right now. But I'm working on improving. :-) Seeing everyone else's work is very inspiring for me.

I love this card ! It reminds me of my recent trip home when I met thousands of snow geese in a farmer's field. All of us were on our way home for a spring time visit.

Here's to all kinds of wonderful art play !
Happy Sunday !

I love the diversity of your work, Alberta, and I have to admit I envy it. I seem stuck in digital art, and seldom venture into other genres. This one is fun and free-feeling.

I love this too. I also love to create in different medias. I switch around all the time! I do punch needle, clay, paint, writing, watercolor, and many more. I love paper crafts right now, there is so much you can do with paper. I just haven't excelled in any yet. I love to draw in pen and ink, that is my favorite.
I love seeing all you different creations. Some peoples are starts to look the same and it gets quite boring. There is a difference between a set style and a definate formula for boredom.

Oh. Alberta! You are NOT alone in your multi-media fun. I too, enjoy different media, styles, and artforms. I love stretching my creative wings into different areas. In addition to collage and photography, I also enjoy crochet and knitting.

Having fun and giving our souls artistic freedom and enjoyment is the magic that makes art happen. I'm SO happy you listened to your inner child for this piece. It's magical!!!! Hugs, Terri xoxo

Deliciously scrumptious (is that a tautology?). Well, who cares, because your work needs more than one word to describe it and if these words all mean the same thing ...... too bad! You never cease to take my breath away, Alberta!
