Try Something New

The challenge at Mixed Media Monday this week is "Try Something New,"and, since I was inspired by Kira at "A Girl and Her Journal http://samanthakira.typepad.com/ and by "Teesha Moore at http://www.teeshamoore.com/teeshasjournalpgs.com. I thought I might give art journaling a try. Just think, my own person coloring book with attitude! Here are the inside cover pages I made for my journal.

You are an inspiration, I love the idea of trying something new! Beautiful journal page. I did a bit of journaling a few years ago, but I think I may revisit it again!
Thanks for your kind words on my blog!I've added you to my links too!

Love and hugs

Looks like it might be a lot of fun! I haven't even started mine yet, but I know I'm going to use my "new" faux-credit-card technique that I tried for the first time today.

Hi Alberta - Those two are my favorites too!! For the googly eyed dog I used diamond glaze and for the rhinestone I used an old earring, ripped the back stuff off and used E6000 glue (smells nasty, works great) to glue on the magnet and left it in the garage for a week to cure. Have fun and hope you make some fridge art too!! I'm glad you came to visit....hope you're having a good day

Definately keep up the good work with the art journaling. I love to do it. I just had an article in Somerset Memories about one of my journals. Check it out if you get a chance.
