Well, I wasn't sure I was ever going to make it back to Blog Land. I just haven't been able to focus lately, but FINALLY: I finished a journal page. (Crazy Amigo, Creative Therapy Saturday Surprise ) I found inspiration from the assignment I gave my first period writing class on Friday ("The ABC's of Me")and included my own version in the text on the lower right side of the page.
Today I'm going to try to complete all the projects I've got going: plant window boxes, clean out linen closet, finish mermaid painting, and antique the two picture frames I painted gold. I know I won't get to the curtains I'm making, but maybe next weekend.
Love this. The sentiment is a wonderful inspiration that more of us need to learn to live by.
ReplyDeleteLove the bold Matisse like colors!
And you were missed. This is a crazy cool journal page. Love the list. Mine is always longer than possible.
ReplyDeleteLove this piece! No there is never enough time in a day, I have to head to work soon! Yuk!, I like my job, but I'd rather be home, chatting through blogs, and creating! Anyway thanks for sharing you work, Penny

Nice to have you back around ! I do understand that lack of focus - I have that a lot of the time lately !
ReplyDeleteLove this page and LOVE Men Without Hats ! My girlfriend Margaret from high school dated Ivan, the weird but wonderful lead singer in the 90's after their career was kind of over. Ooops, is it still name dropping when it's about a friend and not you ? ;-)
Hope you get your list done but remember to dance while you do !!!
Yes, you have certainly been missed, Alberta. I love your scrumptious journal page and I listened to the Men in Hats from beginning to end (and enjoyed it immensely).
ReplyDeleteThank you Ladies. It feels great to be back. And remember YOU can dance if you want to!
ReplyDeleteA bit of creative sunshine was missing for a while, but now you're back with your wonderful creative style! I actually have a plaque in my studio that reads, "What would you do if you knew you could not fail!" LOVE this piece! Welcome back! Hugs Terri xoxoxo
ReplyDeleteFabulous piece! I love her and the words. Dancing is great too. :)
ReplyDeleteI have gone thru this journal over and over. I LOVE it!! It made me want to dance right away at my work place where music and partying are strictly prohibited!!
